What is an IT-Label Certified Partner?
A party that is certified to determine the IT-Label. Using one fixed method, independently, and with no interest in the outcome. IT Label Expert is such a partner.
The partners who determine the IT-Label
The IT-Label is managed by an independent knowledge collective for digital infrastructure in real estate. The collective determines the method: what is measured, how it is measured and how the outcome is translated into a label from IT1+ to IT5.
The audits themselves are carried out by certified partners. They visit the building, assess the infrastructure on site and measure how it performs. From scoping to measurement and reporting.
What a certified partner does

What a partner does not do
This is the core of the IT-Label. A partner assesses, but does not sell an outcome.
A partner has no interest in a higher or lower result. You cannot buy or negotiate a label. It follows from the audit.
And there is no pass or fail. A partner who determines IT5 Shell has not failed the building. The label shows what is in place.
Why independence is the foundation
A label determined by an independent party using a fixed method is a standard.
Because every partner follows the same method, a label means the same everywhere. IT2 Plug & Play in Rotterdam means the same as in Groningen. That allows tenants, buyers and lenders to compare buildings fairly.
What does this mean for you?
- Certainty. The label is determined by a certified party, using a fixed method.
- Comparability. An IT2 with us is an IT2 with any other partner.
- An honest picture. No better label than the building deserves, and no worse either.
Pre-inspection and audit: the difference
In addition to the official IT-Label audit, IT Label Expert offers a pre-inspection. That is our own service, not an official part of the IT-Label. You receive a well-founded indication of the label and advice on improvements. The official label only follows from an audit.
Questions
Who may carry out an IT-Label audit?
Only a certified partner. They carry out the audit using the fixed IT-Label methodology and determine the label on that basis.
Can a partner arrange a higher label?
No. A partner assesses, but does not sell an outcome. A partner has no interest in a higher or lower result.
Is a pre-inspection an official part of the IT-Label?
No. The pre-inspection is IT Label Expert's own service. You receive a well-founded indication and advice. The official label only follows from an IT-Label audit.
How do I check whether a party is really certified?
