With indoor coverage, the mobile signal is boosted or rebroadcast inside the building. There are various techniques, from a simple repeater to a network of antennas throughout the building (a distributed antenna system).
Good mobile reception matters for making calls, but also for a 4G or 5G backup connection.
What does this mean for the IT-Label?
Indoor mobile coverage is not a separate IT-Label component, but it relates to Connectivity and Infrastructure. Good indoor coverage is needed, for example, for a reliable 4G or 5G backup connection. And it is something tenants are quick to complain about. That is why we include it in our advice during a pre-inspection.
