An IT-Label is valid for two years. After that, the building can be reassessed. That is called recertification.
Why so short? Because digital technology ages much faster than a building. What counts as good WiFi today may fall short in a few years.
You can also have the building recertified sooner, for example after a refurbishment or after renewing the WiFi or cabling. The label then immediately shows what the investment has delivered. See also the IT-Label audit.
